Winfred Bowman Bryant

With the soft brush of angel wings, Winfred Bowman Bryant, 87, left this earthly body behind to gain his new one in Heaven, on February 7, 2020.

He was born December 22, 1932 in Cabarrus Co. to the late Allen Cleveland and Lillie Ida Chandler Bryant.

Winfred was in 701st Military Police from 1952-1961 U.S. Army

He was preceded in death by a son Gerald W. Bryant, a daughter Julie E. Ward, a brother Allen Lloyd Bryant, two sisters, Willie Mae Brown and Margaret Reid.

Those left to cherish his memory; his wife Linda Ivey Bryant, two sons, David A. Bryant (Nancy) of Asheboro, Jeff Bryant (Barbara) of Winston-Salem, a daughter Tamara W. Hord (Greg) of Concord, one sister Waulena B. Major, five grandchildren, and 11 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Whitley’s Funeral Home, with Rev. Blair Bridle officiating, burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park with military honors.

Visitation will be from 11:00 to 12:00 PM prior to the service at Whitley’s Funeral Home.
