Tony Ray Mitchell

Tony Ray Mitchell, 62, of Kannapolis, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 11, 2021.

Tony was born on June 12, 1958 in Cabarrus County to the late Benjamin Allan Mitchell and Clara Mae Donahue. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Tammy Mitchell.

Tony previously worked in construction and for Miller Plumbing before becoming a Truck Driver the past 12 years for Western Express. In his free time, he loved going fishing and camping. He also loved sitting outside on the porch. He will be dearly remembered for being a loving father, who was caring and selfless. He always put everyone else before himself. 

Those left to cherish his memory include a daughter, Megan (Gerardo) Gutierrez; grandchildren, Landon Gutierrez and Benjamin Gutierrez; sister, Phyllis (Jimmy) Miller; brother, Jeff Kidd; and nephew, Steven Cress.
