Tommy Ray Earnhardt

Mr. Tommy Ray Earnhardt, of China Grove, passed away on July 1, 2022, at the age of 70.

Born April 28, 1952 in Salisbury, NC to the late Junior and Dorothy Earnhardt. Tommy graduated from South Rowan High School in 1970 and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1975. He retired from UNC-Charlotte in 2015 after 25 years as a Director of Student Accounts and an Internal Auditor. Prior to that he worked as a Controller at Fredrickson Motor Express, Charlotte.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Jill Correll Earnhardt, of 47 years; son, Brandon Earnhardt (Lani), of Salisbury; daughter, Karie Houck (Andy), of China Grove; his precious grandsons, Maddux Earnhardt, Nolan and Myles Houck, and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 2:00 to 3:15 p.m. at Concordia Lutheran Church in China Grove in the Family Life Center. The funeral will follow at 3:30 on Tuesday in the sanctuary with Rev. Ken Reed officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Landis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Concordia Lutheran Church, 185 Concordia Church Rd., China Grove, NC 28023.
