Thomas "Tommy" Cook

Mr. Thomas (Tommy) William Cook, 71, of China Grove went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Thursday, January 5, 2023. Tommy was born March 28, 1951, in Concord, North Carolina. A son of the late Earl Eugene Cook and Kathleen Holshouser Cook. Tommy attended A.L. Brown High School and was a lifelong member of North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church. Tommy retired in 2013 after a long career in the auto industry. 

Family members left to cherish his memory include his wife of 46 years; Kim Kincaid Cook of China Grove, a son, Thomas Jason Cook (Norlynda) of Kingsport, TN; son Jared Matthew Cook (Jennifer) of China Grove; daughter Jenna Cook Baker (Andrew) of Kannapolis, and six grandchildren; Caleb Cook, Jessyca Cook, Kinsdan Cook, Karaleigh Cook, Korlynn Cook, and Presley Baker; his siblings, brother Ronnie Cook, and sister Diane Smith (Don); numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives. 

Tommy will be missed deeply by his family and friends. He will be remembered for his love and passion for old cars, listening to beach music, making wonderful peach daiquiris, telling animated stories to all, and enjoying time well spent with family. 

The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Joy Garman will officiate. A burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Concord.
