Teresa Ann (McManus) Thrift

Teresa Ann McManus Thrift, 55, of Mooresville died unexpectedly at her home on Monday, April 26, 2021, after lengthy illness.

Her funeral will be held at Mt. Olive Free will Baptist Church on Saturday, May 1st at 12:00 PM with Rev. Ronnie Brown officiating.  Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Kannapolis. Her family will receive friends at the church the hour prior.

Teresa was born March 5, 1966 in Chesterfield, SC, a daughter of the late Robert McManus and Mary Hudson Cooper of Kannapolis. In addition to her father, Teresa was preceded in death her daughter, Shana Thrift, her 3 brothers, Billy Joe and Bobby McManus and Ernest Hudson and her sister, Kathy McManus and also a special friend, Emily Tickle.

Teresa moved to this area in her teens and was trained as a CNA and worked at First Assembly Living Center, until she had to retire on disability.  She was a member of Mt. Olive Free Will Baptist Church. Teresa enjoyed word puzzles, games on her phone, spending time with her family, caring for her mom and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Candace Fink of Kannapolis, her grandchildren, Jayci Fink, King Winston and Laila Fink, her mother, Mary Ophelia Hudson Cooper of Kannapolis, her brothers, Donnie and Mickey McManus, her sister Jeannie McManus, her special niece, Ladaya Stokes and many loving nieces and nephews and cousins and her very special friends, Tina Emery and Candy Dunn.
