Ted Michael

Ted Michael, 87, of China Grove, passed away Friday, November 17, 2023 at NC State Veterans Home in Salisbury.
He was born September 1, 1936 in Rowan County to the late Thomas Michael and Lelia Michael.
Ted served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War as an electrician on the USS Princeton. He worked for Fiber Industries/Celanese in Salisbury, NC for 32 years before retiring. Ted was a Braves fan and would often travel to Atlanta with his wife Joyce to catch a game. Ted enjoyed traveling to visit family and enjoyed listening to music.
He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings.
Those left to cherish his memory were his wife of 69 years Joyce Michael; three sons, Terry Michael (Janet), Donny Michael (Luanne), Robert Michael (Susan); seven grandchildren, Joshua, Keli, Sara, Brandon, Samantha, Devin, Kyle; five great grandchildren, Lilly, Jane, Carter, Kaylin, and Lahna.
Memorial service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, November 22, at South China Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Curtis Parker officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park with Military Rites.
Visitation will be prior to the service from 10-11 AM Wednesday at the church.
