Susan Rowe

Susan Polk Rowe, 71, of Concord, passed away Friday May 7, 2021 after a period of declining health. Born July 19, 1949 in Mecklenburg County, she was the daughter of the late Harold Eugene Polk and Omega Jean Davis Priest.

Susan spent her working years mainly as an administrative assistant in the banking industry. She enjoyed line dancing and to shag. She was a member of the dancing group, Broadway Babes, at the Concord Senior Center. Susan also loved singing. She sang in church choirs as well as sang solos throughout the years. Susan played piano as part of the comedy duo, Two in a Rowe, with her husband Duane. 

Susan is survived by her husband of fifty years, Duane; her daughter, Greta Mauldin of Concord; a granddaughter, Sydni Mauldin; a brother, Steven Polk of Concord; and a half-sister Lisa Ward of Griffin, GA.

A funeral service to honor her life will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday May 12, 2021 at Harvest Community Church, 4284 Orphanage Rd. Concord, with Pastors Matt Turbedsky and Jeff Burris officiating. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
