Shelba Blondell (Moss) Arrington

Shelba Blondell Moss Arrington, 79, of Kannapolis, passed away on Sunday January 5, 2020 after a brief period of illness.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 5:00 PM at Parkwood Baptist Church in Concord with Rev. Bo Sherrill officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 5:00 PM prior to the service.  Private interment will follow at a later date.

Shelba was born on October 1, 1940 in Iredell County, a daughter of the late James W. and Edith Sigmon Moss.

A life-long area resident, Shelba was a graduate of the Morganton School for the Deaf and was “Miss Morganton” 1958. She was a longtime active member of Parkwood Baptist Church. She worked many years for Cannon Mills as a hemmer in the sheet department. She enjoyed working in her yard and gardening. Her family fondly remembers how much she enjoyed a good meal. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hartsell Arrington; son, Barry Jay Stewart; brother, Roger Dale Moss.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Scottie Brent Stewart of Denver, NC; granddaughters, Shanna Makalen Stewart of Enochville, NC and Brenlee Stewart of Cornelius, NC; sister, Ms. Ruby Badger and special friend, Grey Clarke, sister-in-law, Eliza Moss both of Kannapolis; and several loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Deaf Ministry at Parkwood Baptist Church, 1069 Central Drive NW, Concord, NC 28027.
