Sandra W. (Blake) Greene

Sandra Wynona Blake Greene, 64, of Kannapolis, peacefully passed away Sunday morning, March 5, 2023, at her home, following a period of declining health.

Born October 30, 1958, in Concord, she was a daughter of Agnes Peggy Canup Blake and the late Earl Blake. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Scott Blake.

Sandra retired from Fieldcrest Cannon and later continued her education at RCCC, where she studied business administration. She was a proud member of Second Presbyterian Church, where she enjoyed attending and worshipping. Sandra loved the beach and the time spent there. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, she will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.

Family members include her devoted husband of 45 years, John David Greene; her children, Theresa Greene and Debbie Greene (Rusty Caudill); her grandchildren, Jonathan and Jordan Greene; sisters, Lyndyll Poythress and Diane Rorie; her brother, James Blake, nephews and extended family members.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Thursday, March 9th at Second Presbyterian Church in Kannapolis. Services to remember and celebrate Sandra’s life will begin at 2:00 pm in the church, conducted by Pastor Sue Black. Burial will follow the service at Carolina Memorial Park.
