Ruby Phyllis (Stancil) Mcguire

Ruby Phyllis Stancil McGuire, 96, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 19, 2021. Death was unexpected.

Ruby was born August 12, 1924 in Cabarrus County, NC a daughter of the late Calllie Wilson Stancil and Lottie Marie Garver Stancil.

Also preceding her in death were four siblings and her husband Robert R. McGuire who died in 1992.

In early life she worked for Cannon Mills but for the majority of her life she was a homemaker.

She loved to sew and had a “green thumb” which enabled her to grow anything. She enjoyed being outside working in her yard.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Gary Scoggins. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to final rites. Interment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.

Family members left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Vicki M. Dame and husband Peter S. Dame of Mooresville.  Three sons; Robert W. McGuire of Mooresville, Richard E. McGuire and wife Teresa of Kannapolis, and Danny L. McGuire and wife Amy D. McGuire of Landis. Also surviving is a sister, Rachel Creasman of Mechanicsburg, Pa. Six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren also survive.
