Roy Rodden Obituary

Roy Patterson “Cotton” Rodden, 86, of Salisbury, passed away on Sunday March 22, 2020 at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born on October 4, 1933 in Cabarrus County, he was the son of the late Brady Patterson Rodden and Ida Mary Nunn Rodden.

Cotton spent many of his working years self-employed as a vendor at various flea markets. He really enjoyed spending his time working the flea markets, raising goats, and spending warm, sunny days in the shade of his favorite oak tree.

Aside from his parents, Cotton was preceded in death by his wife Pansy Allman Rodden. He is survived by his daughter Leslie Rodden of Salisbury; a sister, Frances Dixon and husband James of Concord; a granddaughter Tristin Morris of Salisbury; a grandson, Bretly Morris of Baltimore; a great-grandaughter, AnnaMarie Harwood of Salisbury.

A private family service will be held with a public memorial service to be held at a later date.
