Roy Michael "Mike" Patterson

Roy Michael “Mike” Patterson, 68, of Kannapolis, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Tucker Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.

Mike was born on June 28, 1952 in Cabarrus County.

He enjoyed working as a service technician for home health care. He also worked as a medicine delivery driver for Cannon Pharmacy. He had a heart for helping others. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, playing guitar, using a C.B. radio, and tinkering with mechanics.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Allen Patterson Jr. and Ora Lee Simpson Davis, and step-father, Donald David Davis Sr.

Those left to cherish his memory include his brother, Freddie (Vickie) Patterson; sisters, Chris (Dennis) Shaver and Kelly (Scott) Chandler; step-brother, Donald (Lori) Davis Jr.; step-sister, Ellen Godsey; nephews, Robert (Reese) Shaver, Reid (Allison) Shaver, Jonathan Hodge, Max (Savannah) Chandler II, and David Davis; niece, Kate Davis; great-niece, Blakely Shaver; great-nephew, Theo Shaver, and beloved pet cat, Sunshine.

A small, private service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial’s in Mike’s memory may be made to Duke Cancer Institute, 300 W. Morgan St., Suite 1200, Durham, NC 27701.
