Roger Lee Livengood

Roger Lee Livengood, 66 of Mooresville went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Atrium Health Cabarrus following a short illness.

Roger was born May 27, 1954 in Rowan County, NC a son of the late Baxter Lee Livengood and Violet Mae Smith Livengood. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Tim Livengood.

Roger was a faithful member of Corriher Heights Baptist Church. He loved working in his garage on different projects. He was an avid fisherman. Foremost he loved the Lord and his family.

Family members left to cherish his memory are his wife of 48 years; Janice Walter Livengood of the home, a daughter, Tina Livengood Clark and husband Terrence of Kannapolis, a son, Marty Livengood and wife Olivia of Kannapolis, six grandchildren; Greg Moore and wife Amelia of Kannapolis, Corey Moore and wife Christy of Kannapolis, Lee Moore of Landis, Mandy Moore of Kannapolis, Lauren Livengood of Kannapolis and Addison Livengood of Kannapolis. His two beloved canine companions, Darcy and Bree also survive.

He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, one sister, Valerie Williams and husband Gene of Kannapolis and a sister in law Darlene Livengood of Kannapolis.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Roger will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Corriher Heights Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Jeremy Collins and Preacher Arnold Douthit. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. prior to the service. At other times they will be at the residence.

Due to the covid pandemic the family requests that all in attendance wear a mask and observe social distancing.
