Robert Joseph Roscoe

Robert Joseph Roscoe, 79, of Kannapolis, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2021, at Atrium Health Cabarrus.

He was born on June 1, 1941 in Hartsville SC, a son of the late Joseph Henderson Roscoe, and Anna McGugan Hall.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Vernice Williams; half brothers, Daniel Hall, Johnny Hall, and Howard Hall.

He was a longtime employee of Fieldcrest Cannon Mills and Pillowtex until his retirement.

Robert loved being outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his buddy Frank Tillman. One of his favorite hobbies was playing BINGO where he got to socialize with his friends and have fun. Robert loved watching NASCAR and cheering on his favorite drivers like Dale Earnhardt Sr., Dale Jr., and Dale Jarrett. He loved his family very much, and will be greatly missed.

Robert was part of a large family, and those left to cherish his memory include his companion of 26 years, Judy Key; his children, Ronda Kale Piland and late husband, Hubert Piland, Osa Ann Kimble (Rick), Joseph Kurt Horvath (Robyn), Rebecca T. Little ( Chris),Teresa Cheek and late husband, Charlie Woodring; grandchildren, Aaron Piland, Crystal Chambers, Stasha Houser, Jessica Houser, Denise Lutch, Rhys Little, Teagan Little, Frances Cheek, Brianna Monteith, Natalie Woodring, Charley Woodring; along with thirteen great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchildren; half siblings Jenny Faye Hall Stewart, Margaret Hall Neese, Harrison Roscoe, Ernest Roscoe, Pansy Roscoe Starnes, Perry Roscoe, and Wanda Roscoe Polson

A memorial service to honor Robert’s life will be set at a later date.
