Rachel M. (Munson) Aycock

Rachel M. Aycock, 92, of Concord, passed away at her home, Friday, September 13, 2019.

She was born August 14, 1927 in Cabarrus Co. to the late William M. Munson and Elizabeth P. Munson.

Rachel retired from Fieldcrest Cannon plant 4. She and her husband were foster parents for over 20 years, and she enjoyed going to church and watching church services on tv.

She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Lenard E. Aycock, son Darren Burris, and numerous brothers and sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory, daughter, Carolyn Harrington of Kannapolis, son Jerry Aycock of Concord, two grandchildren, Crystal Barringer of China Grove, Elizabeth Burris of Mt. Pleasant, four great grandchildren, Chase Barringer, Kody Barringer, Robert Burris, Thomas Burris, one sister Bill Simpson of Harrisburg, two brothers Joe Munson, and Jim Munson (Dot) both of Concord.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the church prior to the service.

Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday September 18, 2019 at Homestead Baptist Church with Pastor Mitch Thomas officiating.

Graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 19, at West Concord Cemetery.
