Pinky Luther Walter

Pinky Luther Walter, 81, of Concord, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 8, 2023.

Pinky was born on February 13, 1942 in Cabarrus County to the late Martin “Snook” Walter and Sarah Blackwelder Walter.

Pinky honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a lifetime member of Gilwood Presbyterian Church in Concord. In his free time, he loved shooting pool and playing Texas hold’em. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 62 years, Joyce Walter; son, Carter Walter; brother, Mike (Karen) Walter; sister, Chris Tharp; and extended family, Mary and Dustin Eash, and Cora and Caroline Eash.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 13, 2023 at Gilwood Presbyterian Church with Rev. Charles “Chaz” Blasdell officiating. The family will speak with friends after the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Pinky’s name may be made to Gilwood Presbyterian Church, 2993 Odell School Road, Concord, NC 28027.
