Pearl (Karriker) Brannon

Pearl Karriker Brannon, age 93 of Concord went to be with the Lord on February 5,2020 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis following a period of declining health.

Pearl was born January 31, 1927 in Rowan County, NC a daughter of the late Hugh Vasteen Karriker and Julia Wright Weddington Karriker. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years; Allen King Brannon (Breezy) on February 5, 2009.

She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Concord for as long as her health permitted. She was employed by Cannon Mills, Plt. #1, in the sheet packaging department for forty years.

Pearl enjoyed raising flowers, traveling and reading.

Family members left to cherish her memory are three nieces, Kay Bowers and husband Eddie and Sylvia Hill and husband Randy; all of Kannapolis, and Gloria Cline Smith and husband Bruce of Concord, two nephews, Raymond Karriker and wife Marquita of Bella Vista, Arkansas and Phillip Cline of Murrells Inlet, S.C. She is also survived by seven great nieces and nephews along with five great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services to celebrate Pearl’s life will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Trinity Lutheran Church conducted by Rev. Tom Christenson. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
