Paul (Butch) Powell

Paul Nelson “Butch” Powell, 76, of Kannapolis passed away October 26, 2021. He was born September 7, 1945 in Cabarrus County, a son of the late Harold and Jennie Powell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Powell in 1998.

Butch worked for Cannon Mills for many years as a fixer at Plant 1 Towel Cutting Dept.   He loved to go fishing and hunting.

A graveside service will be held for Butch at 11:00 AM Friday, Oct. 29th at West Lawn Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Dennis Morgan. His family will receive friends prior from 10:00 to 11:00 at Whitley’s Funeral Home.

Butch is survived by his son, Paul Powell (Maureen), brothers, Mike Powell, Tony Powell (Kathy), sister, Charlene Powell and nieces and nephews.
