Paul Lamont Wilkins

Paul Lamont Wilkins, 75, of Concord, passed away Friday, March 10, 2023, following a period of declining health.

Born May 18, 1947, in Mobile, AL, he was a son of the late Henry Levon and Faye Hankins Wilkins. Paul was also preceded in death by an aunt, Pauline Beatty.

Mr. Wilkins had most recently worked in apartment complex maintenance. A very giving man, he was willing to help anyone, and would always offer good advice and good food.  A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and wonderful “Pawpaw”, he will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.

Loving family members include his wife of 34 years, Shelly T. Wilkins; his children, Lisa Wallace, Marie Ghantt, Paul Rohling, Christine Morphis, Melissa Poston, Pauline Scott and Jessica Morgan; his grandchildren, Alex, Olivia, Chandler, Alyssa, Shane, Ian, Seth, Ethan, Alicyn, Sarah, Charles, Rebekah, Lillian, Noah, Samantha and Addison; sister, Sandra Hayes (Gary), his brother, Steve Wilkins; nephews Todd and Michael Hayes; and extended family members.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Friday, March 17th at Whitley’s Funeral Home.  Services to remember and celebrate Paul’s life will begin at 1:00 pm Saturday, in the funeral home chapel, conducted by Pastor Allen Montgomery.
