Paul Kenneth Barr

Paul Kenneth Barr, 87 years old, of Kannapolis, went to be with his Lord and Savior and his two sons on January 8, 2022.  He was born on September 29, 1934 in Kannapolis to the late Andrew Jasper Barr and Minnie Lail Barr.

Paul proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps and went on to work for Blythe Construction Company for many years.  He was a dedicated husband and father and an active member of West Point Baptist Church.

He was predeceased by his two sons, Tony Dale and Mark Kenneth Barr; his brother, David Barr; his sisters, Betty Barr McDonald, Ruth Barr Kerley and Evelyn Barr Kirby.  Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Annie Mae Boger Barr; his brother, Bobby Gene Barr; his caregivers, Dale and Shirley Ludwick; his adopted grandchildren, Lindsey and Jonathan White and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 11th from 11am to 12pm at the funeral home with a funeral service to follow at 12pm in the Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.
