Patsy (Herrell) Greeson

Patsy H. Greeson, 84, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, June 5, 2021, at Atrium Health Cabarrus.

Born November 2, 1936, in Roane County, TN, she was a daughter of the late Willis “Speedy” Herrell and Beatrice Ayers Herrell.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jaquita Rose and her much loved Chihuahua, Simon.

A graduate of Harriman High School in Harriman, TN, Patsy had retired from the Cabarrus County Department of Social Services. She later retired from St. Enoch Lutheran Church, where she had been secretary for 20 years. Mrs. Greeson loved her family, hummingbirds, watching old westerns and enjoyed her recent discovery of Facebook chatting.  A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family members left with cherished memories include her children, Chet Greeson (Karen), Scott Greeson (Jenny) and Kim Greeson Eudy; brother-in-law, Lee Allen Rose; her grandchildren, Chris Greeson, Courtney Greeson, Travis Smith (Vera), Justin Smith (Nichole), Taylor Eudy (Allie), Lindsay Lappin (Sean) and Jordan Eudy; her great-grandchildren, Nolan, Liam, Colton and Bennett. 

The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00 pm Monday, June 14th, at Whitley’s Funeral Home.  Services to remember and celebrate the life of Mrs. Greeson will begin at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, conducted by Pastor Randy Bass.  Mrs. Greeson will be laid to rest at Carolina Memorial Park immediately following the service.
