Patricia Ann Christy

Patricia A. Christy, 80, of Mooresville, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 after a period of declining health. Born, February 15, 1940 in Durham County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Odell and Nannie Mae Lillard Bowman.

Patricia spent her working years in textiles at Cannon Mills. She loved nature, bird watching, and writing poetry.

Patricia is survived by three daughters Marie C. Roberts of Mooresville, Terri Farmer and husband Randy of Kannapolis, and Lisa Christy of China Grove; four grandchildren, Amy Farmer, Jesse, Alex and Garrett Hawks; two great grandchildren, Bishop Napier and Brent Raper; and a brother, Steve Bowman. Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Enloe and a brother Bill Bowman.

A funeral service to honor her life will be held 1:30 PM Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at God’s Church of Faith, 811 Elm Street, Kannapolis. Pastor Jeff Upright will officiate. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the church. Interment will immediately follow in West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane Kannapolis, NC 28083.
