Opal Poss Obituary
Opal Gail Osborne Poss, 82, of Concord, went to be with the Lord on Friday January 20, 2023 at her residence following a period of declining health.
Opal was born October 19, 1940 in Guilford County, NC to the late William O Osborne and Mary Jane Barbee Osborne. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Bobby Dewitt Poss who died June 16, 2018. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Deanna Poss in 1981 and a sister, Barbara Adams.
She later moved to Concord and became a member of First Wesleyan Church of Kannapolis.
She volunteered her time to help counsel women with unwanted pregnancies. She was a big prayer warrior.
She was employed as a purchasing agent for electrical contractors.
Services for Mrs. Poss will be private for the family only.
Family members left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Belinda Deev of Concord, three grandchildren; Kevin Whitley, Keisha Koenig, and Karla King along with five great grandchildren; Jaxkson Koenig, Korbin King, Kadyn Joenig, Keeyan King, Kennedy King and another who will be arriving shortly, Kaiya Koenig.
