Nora "Ann" Marlowe Baxter, 80, of Kannapolis died November 21, 2021 at Atrium Health Cabarrus. Her death was unexpected.
Ann was born on December 10, 1940 in Kannapolis, NC, a daughter of the late Gilbert and Janie Deal Marlowe. In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her son, Albert Wayne Carter, Jr. and 6 of her siblings; Jerry, Tony, Earnest and Charlie Marlowe, Linda Bostian and Peggy Deal
Ann is survived by her husband, Jerry Baxter; her sons, Michael Carter (Tracy), Jr. Baxter (Cheryl) , Billy Baxter (LuAnn) of China Grove and her daughters, Gina McInnis (Steve) of Kannapolis and Janet Baxter of TX; her grandchildren, Chandler and Wesley Carter, Kayla Garmon, Kaci and Noah McInnis, Mindy West, Marissa Treece and Shawn Baxter, Cody Baxter and Allyson Baxter, her great-grandchildren; Kaden and Kelsi Ann Banther, Rachel and Reagan Ballew and Lennox Treece, Remington Baxter and Oaklyd Baxter; her brothers, Donald Ray Marlowe of Kannapolis and Albert Marlowe of Rising Fawn, GA and her special "Dottie".
Ann was a lifelong area resident and longtime member of Royal Oaks Baptist Church. She was a humble, loving and devoted homemaker for her family. Ann will be dearly missed.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Royal Oaks Baptist Church, with Rev. Andy Downs officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Saturday at the church before the service.
