Nedda (Bebber) Oliphant

Nedda Beatrice Bebber Oliphant, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 11 2022 at residence surrounded by her loving family. She had been in declining health.

Nedda was born August 6, 1934 in Alexander County, NC a daughter of the late Charlie Ray and Sadie Beatrice Watts Bebber. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dono Bebber and Sam Bebber and one sister Mabel Patterson.

She was educated in the Rowan County School System and retired from Burlington Mills in Mooresville following many years of service.

She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and bingo. She loved to cook for her family until her health failed.

She dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Family members left to cherish her memory include her husband of 64 years, John Oliphant of the home, one son, Jeff Oliphant and wife Linda of Kannapolis, a daughter, Wanda Bolin and husband Mike of Salisbury, a granddaughter, Christine Hardister and husband Kenny of Salisbury, and three grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Benny Bebber and wife Emo of Taylorsville and Jack Bebber and wife Teresa of Salisbury, and extended family members.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Sharon Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Jim Strickland. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
