Michael Lynn Price Jr.

Michael Lynn Price Jr., 60, of China Grove, passed away peacefully at home on April 22, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Michael was born on February 3, 1963 in Cabarrus County, NC to the late Michael Lynn Price Sr. and Linda Elizabeth Thompson McKnight. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Price Wyrick. 

Michael worked for CPCC for the past 15 years. He most recently was the Dean of Public Safety and Transportation. He was a faithful member of Bethpage United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday School. He was also a member of Allen-Graham Masonic Lodge #695 in Kannapolis. He enjoyed playing golf and he loved to socialize. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 21 years, Sara Bibeau Price; daughter, Haley Price; son, Robinson Price; step-son, Caleb (Kayleigh) Smith; granddaughter, Zoey Price; sister, Anna Price (James) Bailey, and step-brother, Rick (Pat) Evans.

A memorial service celebrating Michael's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Bethpage United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Gary MacDonald officiating and Masonic rites conducted by Allen-Graham Masonic Lodge. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall after the service. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his memory may be made to Bethpage UMC, 109 Fellowship Ave., Kannapolis, NC 28081.
