Melva Crowe Obituary

Melva Ann Hardin Crowe, 67, of Lenoir, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 16, 2020 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital.

Melva was born on December 14, 1952 in Iredell County to the late Melvin Walter Hardin and Barbara Ann Abernathy Hardin.

Melva was a Class of 1971 graduate of A.L. Brown High School in Kannapolis. She spent her career as an elementary school teacher for several schools in Caldwell and Wilkes County. She especially enjoyed her time at Dudley Shoals Elementary School. In her free time, she loved gardening flowers, shopping, and going to the beach. She will always be remembered for her thoughtful handwritten cards. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband of 43 years, Wayne Crowe; sons, Justin (Beth) Crowe and Wesley (Dea) Crowe; three grandchildren, Madelyn Crowe, Isla Crowe, and Jolie Crowe; sister, Sherry (Jack) Bame, and two nieces, Missy and Mandy Crayton.

A private graveside service will be held at Carolina Memorial Park with Rev. Doug Hardin officiating.
