Matthew Pitchford Obituary

Matthew Ray Pitchford, 33, of Davidson passed away May 28, 2023 in Davidson, NC. 

Matthew’s greatest accomplishment was his son, Emmett Roy Pitchford. He was a loving father and was very proud to be called dad.

Matthew was a master carpenter and enjoyed his work very much.  He enjoyed boating, playing pool with his dad, and fishing.  He was also an extremely talented artist. Matthew had a smile that would light up the room and was the most loving and bighearted person. He was hilarious and loved to make people smile.

Matthew was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lee R. Gardner, grandmother, Joan Pitchford and an uncle, Danny Pitchford.

Those left to cherish his memory is his son, Emmett Roy Pitchford, mother, Sharon R. Pitchford, father and step mother, Donnie Pitchford and Adina Dimarzio, sisters, Hope Jones and Savannah Pitchford, brother, Blake Dwight Pitchford, grandmother, Patsy Gardner and uncle, Mark Gardner, aunt, Doris Stowe and many cousins. 

A Celebration of his life service will be held Saturday June 3, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Whitley’s Funeral Home the family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Whitley’s Funeral Home.
