Mary Delle (Simmons) Hathcock

Mary Delle Simmons Hathcock,74, of Concord went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 24, 2022, at Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis following a period of declining health.

Mary was born December 14, 1948, in Cabarrus County, NC, a daughter of the late Curtis Relaford Simmons and Mary Charlotte Willoughby Simmons. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, James A. Hathcock, Jr. on February 22, 2013.

She was a graduate of A.L. Brown High School in Kannapolis and worked as office manager of Granite Knitwear in Granite Quarry.

She loved the lake, the beach, and she and her late husband James loved to shag.

The family will have a private service at a later date.

Survivors left to cherish her memories include a son, Chuck Hathcock and wife Christine of Charlotte, a Stepdaughter, Tara Curlee and husband Jody of Albemarle, three grandchildren: Courtney and Abby Hathcock and Darrian Honeycutt and wife Stephanie. She is also survived by on great grandson Daxton Honeycutt and a sister, Sherry Kimbrell and husband Richard of Martinsburg, West Virginia.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Lung Cancer Foundation of America, 15 South Franklin Street, New Ulm, Mn. 56073
