Marty Ray Storie

Marty Ray Storie "Marty Bill", 57, of the Enochville community passed away Monday, January 17,2022 at his home. His death was unexpected.

His funeral service will be held Monday, January 24 ,2022 at 1 pm at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Neal Jones officiating.  Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. His family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 12:00 -1:00 pm prior to the funeral.

Marty Bill was born June 6, 1964 in Iredell Co., one of four boys born to the late Harold E. and Juanita Milam Storie. Marty Bill was a lifelong area resident and graduate of South Rowan High School class of 1982. He was the groundskeeper at the Warrior Golf Course in China Grove for the past 18 years.
He was a member of Mt. Olivet UMC. Marty Bill enjoyed helping others whether it was cleaning dirty cars or cutting grass. Whatever was needed he would be sure to do it right. He was a fan of the Washington Redskins and enjoyed the beach. He loved his family and friends and would always gladly accept a hug. He will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, Marty Bill was preceded in death by his wife Leslie Adams Storie in 2015. He is survived by his son Joshua Adam Storie of the home, his brothers Danny Storie (Jennifer) of China Grove, Gary Storie (Darlene) of Cantonment FL, Bunky Storie (Tracie) of Enochville, and a number of nieces and nephews.
