Marilyn (Burke) Jordan

Marilyn B. Jordan, 85, of Kannapolis passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at Five Oaks Manor.

She was born March 15, 1936 in Forsyth Co. to the late Martin Joseph Burke, and Enice Bare Burke.

Marilyn was a member of West A Church of God where she sang in the choir, in her retirement she spent her time taking care of her grandchildren, she enjoyed playing bingo at Oak Park Retirement where she resided, she never met a stranger and loved having family reunions with her brothers and sisters and their families.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carlie Curtis Jordan, son, Steven Curtis Jordan, a grandson Justin Curtis Jordan and a brother Howard Burke.

Those left to cherish her memory; son, Darrin Jordan (Dana) of Kannapolis, two grandchildren Martin Jordan and Anna Jordan both of Kannapolis, a daughter in law Teresa Collinsworth, four brothers, John Burke (Doris), Donnie Burke (Cheryl) Ted Burke (Jenelle), and Mike Burke (Linda), four sisters, Delta Bean (Charlie), Wanda Scaggs (Jack), Joyce Burke, and Martha Coleman (Jerry).

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday July 26, 2021 at West A Church of God with Dr. Greg Sloop officiating, burial will follow at Rowan Memorial Park.

Visitation will be prior to the service from 1-2 PM at the church.
