Marie Delima Lemieux Marquis,100 years loved, the longest living of the thirteen children of the late John V. Lemieux and Mary L. Boudreau Lemieux went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at her residence, surrounded by family. Also preceding Marie in death was her first husband, Dr. Paul Leger and second husband, bank president Kenneth Marquis.
Marie was born August 18, 1922 in New Brunswick, Canada. Marie took pride in working as a bookkeeper for Canadian National Railroad (CNR). She was an avid game player, taught mahjong and loved playing euchre. Marie was an avid golfer most of her life. She was a member of St James the Greater Catholic Church in Concord.
She loved her family dearly and was blessed with many wonderful friends. Family members left to cherish her memory include two daughters; Valerie Borus (Frederick) of Concord and Claire Kerz (Daniel) of Tallahassee, FL. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Kristina Borus (Patrick) of Concord and Marc Borus of Concord.
A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 12, 2022 at St. James the Greater Catholic Church conducted by Rev. Father Jerome Chavarria. Followed by a luncheon in the hall. Burial will follow at St. James Catholic Church Cemetery.
