Margaret Jean (Crawford) Haynes

Margaret Jean Crawford Haynes, 83, of Lansing, N.C. formerly of China Grove went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, Tenn. Death was unexpected.

The family will have a private service.

Margaret was born March 19, 1938 in Cleveland County, NC a daughter of the late Paul Greer and Margaret Rebecca Borders Crawford. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Guy Wicker Haynes who died in 1999 and a son, Bradley Guy Haynes.

She was of the Baptist Faith. She was employed as a winder at China Grove Cotton Mill for over 20 years. Her favorite pastime was reading the Bible. She also enjoyed watching John Wayne movies.

Her special love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Family members left to cherish her memory include two sons, Joseph Bernard Haynes and wife Julie of Concord, and Paul Lee Haynes of Missouri. Two daughters, Rebecca Measmer  and husband Steve of Concord and Nancy Karen Williams of Statesville and her late Tim Williams, two sisters, Carolyn Shaver of Lansing, NC and Paullette Astrop of Salisbury. She is also survived by her beloved four legged companion Rosebud.

She was blessed with 11 grandchildren; Windy Gray, Joey Haynes, Jonathan Haynes, Abby Haynes, Russell, Daniel and Robert Measmer, Mary Lynn Stanton, Katherine “Rose” Stewart and fiance’ Michael Buckner and Brandley Haynes. She is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren.
