Maenell "Betty Ann" (Jarrard) Brotherton

Maenell (Betty Ann) Jarrard Brotherton, age 81, of Landis, NC passed away December 29th, 2020 at Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury, NC after an extended illness.

Betty Ann was born in Suches, GA to the late Homer and Mae Jarrard.  After graduating high school, Betty Ann moved to Kannapolis, NC where she met and married Gary Donald Brotherton, Sr.  She was employed her entire career at Cannon Mills and retired to Landis, NC where she resided until her death.

Betty Ann and Gary had one son, Gary Donald Brotherton, Jr who resides in Valdosta, GA.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary, her daughter-in-law, Carol Tillman Brotherton, her sisters, Nancy Wood and Dora Lee Dial, and her brothers, Preston Jarrard and Cecil Jarrard.

Betty Ann is survived by her sister, Johnny Sue Head, and three brothers, Homer Jarrard, Robert Jarrard, and Bobby Jarrard.

Graveside services will be held at Kannapolis Cemetery at 2:00 PM Saturday January 2, 2021, 700 West C Street Kannapolis. Rev. Dennis Morgan will officiate.
