Mack Larry Sechler

Mack Larry ”Snag” Sechler, 74, of Kannaolis, passed away peacefully September 9, 2021, at Atrium Health Cabarrus, with  his loving wife by his side, following a brief illness.

Mack was born on May 18, 1947, in Rowan County, to the late Hubert Larry and Nellie Louise Almond Sechler. In addition to his parents, Mack is preceded in death by an infant brother, James Sechler.

Family members left with cherished memories include his devoted wife of 51 years, Lois Goodman Sechler; his special goddaughter, Larisa Eagle; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Mack was an experienced and talented electrical engineer, who specialized in CB repair. Earlier in life, Mack was employed as an electronics technician for the NC State Highway Patrol in Rowan County. He enjoyed fishing local lakes, but his favorite fishing spot was Norris Lake, TN. Mack was a lifelong member of Bethpage United Methodist Church. A loving and devoted husband and friend of many, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A service to remember and celebrate Mack's life will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Gary MacDonald.  The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Bethpage UMC Cemetery.
