Lynn Edward Harrington

Lynn Edward Harrington, 84, of Kannapolis, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 26, 2020.

Lynn was born on December 24, 1935 in Cabarrus County to the late Dewey B. Harrington and Virginia Elizabeth Nicholson Harrington. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Jo Harrington, and daughter, Kim Harrington.

Lynn honorably served his country in the United States Army. He formerly lived in Dallas, TX, where he owned a sporting goods store and sold life insurance. He also coached baseball and was largely involved in the community. He had a heart for others and made an impact in the lives of countless people. He truly lived by the golden rule. He was also a faithful member of Parkwood Baptist Church, where he actively participated in the men’s group outreach. He previously attended Kirkwood Presbyterian Church and enjoyed the fellowship there.

Those left to cherish his memory include a daughter, Lisa (Russ) Craig; four grandsons, Justin (Misty) Scrivner, Andrew Scrivner, Colin Chamberlin, Hunter Hale, and numerous great-grandchildren who will all miss him dearly.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Lynn Harrington will be held on Sunday November 8, 2020 at 2:00PM at Harvest Church Charlotte 7429 Tuckaseegee Rd., Charlotte NC 28214.
