Louise (Walker) Gunner

Louise Walker Gunner, 93, of Kannapolis passed away Sunday, September 15, 2019 while at Best of Care in Kannapolis after 6 years declining health.

There will be a graveside service held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 18 at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. Her family will receive friends at Whitley’s Funeral Home from 6:00 to 7:30 PM on Tuesday, September 17, 2019.

Louise was born December 30, 1925 in Alexander Co., a daughter of the late Ossie and Bessie Harrington Walker. In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband, George Gunner and her sisters Suma Childers and Wilma Love. In earlier years, she worked for Cannon Mills as a weaver. Later she was a care giver for her mother and other family members. Louise loved crafting and will be remembered as an adventurous woman. Louise was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be dearly missed.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Kathy Hickman Moore, her granddaughters, Deanna Moore Brooks and Melissa Moore Graham (Daniel) all of Kannapolis. She has 4 great-grandchildren that she dearly loved, Dalton Graham, Tiffany Brooks, Laney Graham and Caroline Brooks.
