Lorri Renea (Galyan) Overcash

Lorri Renea Overcash, 57 of China Grove passed away at her residence on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 following four years of declining health.

Lorri was born May 1, 1965 in Cabarrus County, NC a daughter of the late Robert Eugene Galyan and Martha Ann Wilson Withers.

Lorri was a 1983 graduate of South Rowan High School. She was employed as assistant manager of Zaxby’s Restaurant in Salisbury.

She enjoyed going out to eat and spending time with her family. She loved taking care of her dog Squeaky.

Funeral services for Lorri will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Main Chapel conducted by Rev. Dennis Morgan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Concord.

Survivors left to cherish her memory are her son, Matthew Overcash and wife Tiffany of China Grove, two sisters; Patricia Honeycutt and husband David and Regina Lowe and husband Mick all of Kannapolis.

She is also survived by nieces and nephews; Michael Honeycutt, Jennifer Putorti, Chris Lowe, Lindsay Lowe and Cassie Childress.

Also surviving are great nieces and nephews; Connor, Rachael, Presley, and Lennon Honeycutt.
