Linda Kay (Sloop) Menius

Linda Kay Menius, 75, of Kannapolis, passed away, Thursday, June 23, 2022 after a period of declining health. Born July 9, 1946 in Cabarrus Co., she was the daughter of the late Waldo Jeremiah Sloop Sr. and Bessie Morgan Sloop.
During her working years, Linda was employed at Terry Products, and CMC Northeast Medical Center, retiring in 2006.
She was a loving mother, and a loving Nanny to many. She loved watching Hallmark shows, flowers, and singing. She taught Sunday School and sang in the choir at Living Water Church of God. Always dedicated to helping the children, she also helped with Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts.
Linda is survived by her children Amanda "Amy" Kay Chunn and companion Michael Hyatt of Kannapolis, James "Jamme" Menius of Kannapolis, Candy Hardin and husband Doug of Kannapolis, and April Menius of Mocksville and Neal Frank Menius, Jr.; grandchildren, Stephen Chunn, Brittney Chunn and Hannah Menius and many other grandchildren. siblings, Thomas "Tommy" Sloop Sr. and wife Paulette of Rocky Mount and Margaret Sloop York of Kannapolis.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Herman Sloop, Jacob H.H. Sloop, Ruth Sloop Thorneburg, Louise Sloop Goodman, C.A. Sloop, J.D. Sloop, Helen Sloop McGinnis, Franklin Sloop, Thelma Sloop Honeycutt, Guy Sloop, Waldo Jeremiah Sloop, Jr.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Living Water Church of God, 166 Little Texas Road, Kannapolis. Rev. Wade Eason and Dr. Greg Sloop will officiate. Inurnment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
