Linda May (Sechler) Kilby

Linda May Sechler Kilby, 80, passed away Saturday afternoon, July 4, 2020, at Caremoor Assisted Living, where she had been a resident.

Born October 26, 1939, in Cabarrus County, she was a daughter of the late Tom and Blanche Ross Sechler.  In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Jonas Dolphas “J.D.” Kilby, on August 2, 2012; and a brother, John Sechler.

Linda was a graduate of Cannon High School and was a devoted and loving homemaker.  She was the love that guided her family on a daily basis. She was a devoted mother to her son, Tommy Kilby and wife, Sherri; the proud grandmother of Dolph Kilby; the sister of Loretta Story; and aunt of Gail, Sherry and Michael.

We gather to celebrate the life of Mrs. Kilby with graveside services beginning at 10 am Wednesday, July 8th, at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove, conducted by Rev. Marty Payton, Senior Pastor of Charity Baptist Church.
