Linda (Brown) Barbee

Linda Brown Barbee, 74, of Concord passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at her home. She was born December 3, 1946 in Iredell County, a daughter of the late Linn and Lucy Elizabeth Brown. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Deanna Leigh Barbee in 1970.

Linda retired from the US Postal Service. She was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church where she was active in various activities including quilting with the ladies of the church to give to the community. She loved to travel, take cruises, but most of all loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Shiloh United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday, July 30, 2021 at Whitley’s Funeral Home.

Linda is survived by her husband, Fred Dwight Barbee, daughters, Leslie Beth McCready (Tracy), Kimberly Jo Gordon (John), grandchildren, Matthew McCready, Nicolas McCready, Kayla Mercuri (Matthew), Johnny Gordon (Skyler), Jarrett Gordon, Jessica Gordon.

Memorials may be made to Shiloh United Methodist Church and/or Hospice of Cabarrus County.
