Lewis Harold Ledwell

Lewis Harold Ledwell, 89, of Kannapolis, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 19, 2023.

Louis was born on May 18, 1933 in Mecklenburg County to the late Edwin Ledwell and Bertha Atkins Ledwell.

Louis honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from Bellsouth Telephone Company after 41 years.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 34 years, Hilda C. Ledwell; daughter, Kay Davis; three granddaughters, Lisa (Mark) Almond, Elizabeth (Justin) Bond, and Wendy (Justin) Dorsa; five great-grandchildren, one step-son, Bucky Miller and 4 step-grandsons.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. on Monday, January 23, 2023 at Whitley’s Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow and begin at 2:00 p.m. at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove with Rev. Dennis Morgan officiating.
