Larry Wayne Beaver

Larry Wayne Beaver, 76, of China Grove passed away surrounded by family on May 11, 2020.

 Mr. Beaver was born in Mecklenburg County to Daisy Aycock Long on April 17, 1944. He married Nancy Louise Slusser on January 12, 1968. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Army, and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.  

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m.-10:40 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Homestead Baptist Church with a funeral service to follow starting at 10:45 a.m. Pastor Mitch Thomas and friend J.D. Petrea will officiate the service.   Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Whitley’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Beaver is preceded in death by his mother Daisy Aycock Long, a brother Jay Beaver, step-brother Eddie Aycock, and a grandson Ben Thomas.

He is survived by his wife Nancy, two daughters Kim (Bennit) Thomas, Pam Brewer, two sons Michael (Teresa) Beaver, David Mariano, nine grandchildren: Amber Thomas, Brock Mariano, Cy Mariano, Christy Furr, Anthony Beaver, Kayla Beaver, Alyson Brewer, Shane Mullins, Lindsey Smith, and nine great-grandchildren
