Kathryn Elizabeth (Beaver) Upright

Kathryn Elizabeth Beaver Upright of Kannapolis passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021.

She was born January 27, 1938 in Cabarrus County, NC a daughter of the late Robert Clifford Beaver and the late Nellie Brawley Beaver. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, T. Bruce Upright as well as her sister, Sue Driver.

Kathryn was a member of North Kannapolis Baptist Church where she enjoyed attending the Senior Charming Years.  She was employed for 29 years with Terry Products as a seamstress until its closing.

She enjoyed reading, word search puzzles and spending time with her sweet pet companion, Ralphie.

Survivors left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Sandra U. Lambert and Robin Upright along with a son, Tracy Bruce Upright and his wife Lisa and sister Patsy Safrit of Rockwell.

She is also survived by grandchildren Amber U. Black and husband Russ, Holly Lambert, Brandon Concepcion and wife Megan, and Taylor Bruce Upright. Also surviving are great grandchildren, Addison Black, Maci Concepcion, Jameson Black, and Emma Concepcion along with three nephews, Tim Driver, Travis Driver and Billy Waller.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Kathryn will be held 11:00 Monday, August 2, 2021 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Ken Upright. Interment will follow in Brookhill Memorial Gardens in Rockwell. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
