Karen Denise Lowery Smith, 58, of Kannapolis, passed away Monday, November 16, 2020 at home. Born July 3, 1962 in Concord NC, she was the daughter of Franklin and Peggy Stamey Lowery.

Karen loved her family and her canine companions. Her hobbies included cross stitching, knitting, color by numbers, and cooking.

Aside from her parents, Karen is survived by her husband, Matthew Smith; a daughter, Jessica Jung and husband Jon of Kannapolis; two sons, Zachary Lowery – Wheeler of Concord, and Nolan Smith of Kannapolis; two granddaughters, Kirsten Jung and Kinsley Jung; and a sister, Lisa Taylor of Kannapolis.

Per Karen’s request, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
