Judy Ann (Wyatt) Karriker

Judy Wyatt Karriker, 75, of Rowan Co. went to be with Jesus on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at her home, surrounded by family. Her death was due to a recent cancer diagnosis.

Her family will receive friends at Whitley’s Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 19. Funeral services will be held at Whitley’s Chapel at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 20, with Rev. Bennie Burgess officiating.

Judy was born November 13, 1946 in Cabarrus Co. a daughter of the late Jesse Ray Wyatt and Gladys Franklin Wyatt. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Harry Lee Karriker and her great-granddaughter, Daisy Torres.

A longtime area resident, Judy was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Kannapolis and worked as a beautician for many years. Judy loved to sew, cook, watch westerns on tv (especially John Wayne) and spend all her spare time caring for her many grandkids and great-grandkids. She was a very fun and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to many and will be deeply missed.

She was survived by her two daughters; Teresa Whitaker (Scott) of Cocoa FL, Jessica Dixon (Jerry) of China Grove, grandchildren; LJ Dixon, Telka Dease (Rickey), LaDonna Torres, Desiree’ Sherman (Richard), Montana Brown (Craige), Chrizdeana Vickers (Caleb), Megan Bundy, Savannah Moore, great-grandchildren; Dakotah Jordan (Joshua), Sierrah Dease, Rickey Dease, Jr., Tarek Dease, Rosaleigh Dease, Brianna Torres, Elizabeth Torres, Olivia Torres, Aubrey Sherman, Kera Sherman, Chrystopher Sherman, Chandler Brown, Jason Brown, Sebastian Vickers, Jacob Vickers and her sisters Brenda Lyles of Rockwell, Deborah Ward (Wade) of Kannapolis, sisters in Laws; Lorraine Morton of China Grove, Joan Karricker of Salisbury. Son in Law Donnie Moore (Helen) of Kannapolis and their beloved dog of many years, Pepper.
