Joyce Ann McLain Freeze, 88, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 1, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
Born on August 9, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Rosco Eugene McLain and Wilma Price McLain. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” Lee Freeze, and a brother, Jim McLain.
Joyce was a faithful Christian who loved the Lord. She dearly loved her church, Bethpage United Methodist Church, where she was a life-long member. She also enjoyed shopping, cooking, and gardening flowers. She was very adventurous and loved traveling with her family and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory include three daughters, Beverly Starnes, Vanessa Freeze, and Debbie Freeze Grant; son, Raymond Freeze; granddaughter, Krista (Tim) Freeze Moon; three great-grandchildren, Cody (Bailey) Moon, Destiny Moon, and Blaze Moon; two great-great grandchildren, Holden Moon and Denver Moon; sister, Jean Karriker; who will all miss her dearly.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Bethpage United Methodist Church with Rev. Sam Lewis and Rev. Duane Melton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
