Joyce (Starnes) Eagle

Joyce Starnes Eagle, 91, of Kannapolis, went into her heavenly home on Monday, November 16, 2020.

Joyce was born on December 18, 1928 in Cabarrus County to the late William S. Starnes and Myrtle Tyson Starnes.

Joyce was a long-time, active member of Midway United Methodist Church. She joyfully taught the 3 and 4 year old Sunday School Class for numerous years. She also enjoyed cooking and baking.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank O. Eagle; daughter, Cynthia Jane Eagle; sister, Margie Lazenby, and nephew, Tim Lazenby.

Those left to cherish her memory include sisters, Jean Troutman and Billie Ann Aponte; three nephews and four nieces.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Midway United Methodist Church. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Carl Manuel Jr. officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Carolina Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Midway United Methodist Church, 708 S. Main Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
