Joyce Marlene (Wyatt) Bowlin

Joyce Marlene Wyatt Bowlin, 84, of Kannapolis, died Saturday, April 17, 2021 at her home after a period of declining health.

Born October 8, 1936 in Cabarrus County, Joyce was a daughter of the late W.W. and Iola Link Wyatt.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Lynn and Jeffrey Reid Bowlin. She also was preceded in death by brothers James, Floyd, Herman and Eugene Wyatt, and by sisters, Mildred Hardy and Lorene Hooper.

Joyce was a lifelong area resident and a longtime member of Lakewood Baptist Church. She graduated from A.L. Brown High School in 1955. After working at Cannon Mills, Joyce worked for many years at Terry Products as a Materials Handler until her retirement in 1998. In her past time, Joyce enjoyed talking on the phone with her multiple friends and family.

Those remaining to cherish her memory, include her daughter Rebecca Bowlin Harrington (Larry), her son Roger Bowlin (Diane), and her brother Norris Wyatt, all of Kannapolis. Also surviving are her five grandchildren, Jacqueline, Michael, Daniel, Nicholas and Michelle Bowlin, her four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Joyce was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be dearly missed.

A graveside service will be held at Carolina Memorial Park at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 21 with Pastor Steve Leigh officiating. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home the hour prior, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Wednesday.
