Jose Angel Cepeda

Jose Angel Cepeda, 75, of Kannapolis, peacefully passed away at his home, with his loving family by his side, September 17, 2020, following a period of declining health.

Jose was born March 20, 1945, in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, a son of the late Javino Cepeda Santiago and Hortencia Rivera Carmona.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Omar Cepeda.

Mr. Cepeda had retired as an insurance adjuster and had honorably served his country with the US Army, during the Vietnam War.  He enjoyed time spent with family, loved watching baseball and was a NY Yankee’s fan. Mr. Cepeda had coached youth baseball earlier in life. A loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family members include his loving wife, Lilian Cepeda; his children, Jose Cepeda, Jr. and Cindy Cepeda; numerous grandchildren, a brother and 2 sisters.

Graveside services to remember and honor Mr. Cepeda’s life will be held at 11:00 am Monday, September 28th at the Salisbury National Cemetery, conducted by Pastor Ryan Ashlock.  Military honors will be rendered by the NC National Army Honor Guard.
